Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) and Certified Travel Industry Executive (CTIE) Educations and Certificates; are given by “Travel Institute” Massachusetts, U.S.A.

Travel Institute controls its tourism representatives with the credit system which has to be taken every year. The certificates are given after 4 years of training, evaluation of productivity, and exams.

There is no other person/company in Turkey who owns these certificates, which are very influential especially in North America and European countries.
Alabanda Tourism General Manager A. Refik Kutluer is the first and only CTC and CTIE of Turkey and his efforts in training tourism sector employees still continue. This training program, adapted to the needs of Turkey, was accepted by the METU Senate. Participants who complete the training programs will have certificates, which are recognized worldwide and have important credits, from both METU and the American Travel Institute.
